Here’s a screenshot of what I see in my inbox – a notification from Google Drive to say that someone is requesting access to this font, and I have to change the settings from Editor (which means someone can change or potentially delete this file) to Viewer for every single request before I can share. Guys, it’s almost 22:00 at night and I’ve been through more than 700 emails one by one, and it only dates back to mid-January this year, not even the last month’s worth of requests for these fonts! I have spent HOURS today, starting from a side and approving every request I saw in my inbox individually. Some of you were even so kind as to reply to say thank you, and I sincerely just want to apologize for not getting to it sooner! Having been at home with Covid-19 this week, I tried to go back in my email notifications and approve as many as I possibly could. I’m sorry for those who have been affected by this – I understand the frustration of finally finding the correct font to use for work and then being blocked from downloading it… so close and yet so far!! This has been going on for months and honestly, I can’t even tell you all when it was changed, just that I haven’t been able to keep track and stay up-to-date with the requests since having a baby (who is a toddler by now) and just juggling a busy little boy, family responsibilities, my own business and school work have taken up almost all of my time and attending to email requests moved down my to-do list. I realize that many of you have had LOTS of trouble trying to download, despite doing everything right, because Google Drive changed its privacy settings and each request to download had to be approved by me personally. The response I’ve received from people visiting and trying to download these fonts have been incredibly overwhelming.
